Our Community
Tekoil Shipping supports local communities through economic development, partnership, gifts, and employee volunteering. Cargill offers business support to carefully selected national and international nonprofit and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that help the communities in which we operate. We help partners working in our key areas of food safety, nutrition, and sustainability. Furthermore, our enterprises, facilities, and Tekoil Shipping Cares Councils help community and nonprofit groups in their respective localities. Tekoil Shipping Cares Councils work to identify key concerns in our communities, establish effective relationships with local community leaders, enhance living conditions, and develop dynamic, stable communities.
Tekoil Shipping’s management has committed to these essential ideals in its Policy Statement. Employees must understand how to do business in accordance with the key principles outlined in Tekoil Shipping’s policy statement. Tekoil Shipping’s Code of Behaviour defines the company’s corporate standards and processes. The Code of Conduct specifies how these ideals should be used in all of our interactions with stakeholders. Separate statements on employment, health and safety, the environment, community relations, and compliance provide more extensive recommendations.
Our Approach
We want to be the go-to provider of professional storage and logistics services by developing long-term relationships. We want to achieve long-term growth by expanding existing facilities, opening new terminals, and acquiring businesses in markets such as petroleum products, petrochemicals, and chilled gas. We promote an entrepreneurial mindset and a can-do attitude by building a decentralized management structure and empowering employees to make the best decisions. We take after our employees by assisting them in acquiring the skills and competencies they require, as well as providing ongoing training to ensure the best possible results.
We strive to continuously improve assets and workflows by collaborating and exchanging ideas with both internal and external stakeholders, which benefits everyone. We will perform all of our commercial operations in a safe and efficient manner. We want to eliminate all occupational injuries, diseases, and accidents. We intend to make every effort to protect the environment while conducting our operations.
Alliance for Youth
Tekoil Shipping has joined the Nestlé Needs Youth program as a founding member of the Alliance for Youth to assist young people in finding work across Europe. Tekoil Shipping and the Alliance are committed to eliminating youth unemployment by providing internships, apprenticeships, and skills training for young people, as well as sharing best practices from Tekoil Shipping’s existing programs. As part of this commitment, Tekoil Shipping in the Netherlands, in partnership with other enterprises in North Holland, established an apprenticeship program called Learn to Work in Technology. The goal is to promote the technical and industrial sectors, ensuring that young people are motivated and trained to develop their technical talent.
Local Initiatives
Tekoil Shipping has worked with the Foundation since 2015. For a firm that is actively devoted to feeding the globe, increasing nutrition and educating youngsters about healthy eating and active lifestyles is critical to the growth and development of the communities in which we operate. That is what Tekoil Shipping workers concentrate on. Tekoil Shipping has helped the Foundation with both money contributions and time and effort from enthusiastic Tekoil Shipping workers. Together, we can enhance nutrition and education results in the areas where we live and work.
